The world of Raspberry Pi is evolving quickly, with many new interface boards and software libraries becoming available all the time. In this cookbook, prolific hacker and author Simon Monk provides more than 200 practical recipes for running this tiny low-cost computer with Linux, programming it with Python, and hooking up sensors, motors, and other hardware—including Arduino.
You’ll also learn basic principles to help you use new technologies with Raspberry Pi as its ecosystem develops. Python and other code examples from the book are available on GitHub. This cookbook is ideal for programmers and hobbyists familiar with the Pi through resources such as Getting Started with Raspberry Pi (O’Reilly).

I'll admit it now, I'm mystified by Raspberry Pi, Python, Sudo and obscure -/letter combinations, but this book provided what I was looking for...
Q. "How do I do something?"
A. "Like this..."
I now have a store of recipes chat I can use to cook up a Pi-based feast and, most importantly, I can follow the method involved as everything is well explained.
As for the other review, there may be the odd typo in the print edition but I haven't spotted them (or if I have, then they weren't significant enough to register as a problem), so I suspect that there may be a problem with the e-book version.
Maybe it's an age-related thing, but I prefer print anyway...
Well written and well worth getting, in my opinion...

This is a great book for anyone looking to get more out of their Raspberry Pi. The sections of the book are clear and concise. You can read it straight through and develop your computing skills step by step or you can skip from section to section to find answers to specific questions you may have.
There is a great introduction to Python included and lots of projects that show you the wide variety of things that the Pi can do. Whether you like to surf the net, have your own media center, or do physical computing, this book has something for you. I use my Pi to program my Arduino and there is a great section specifically geared to that topic.
This book is great for beginners and those ready to take their skills to the next level. Thanks, Simon!
