The evaluation of the quality and utility of this particular book depends on who is using it.
It's mostly complete but some items like painting aren't going to be in this book. If you are a contractor, architect, home inspector or handyman bidding jobs, the information in this book will be useful, but not always easy to pencil out.
If you're novice user, the general cost tables in the front of the book are the only things in it you'll find helpful. It's just too complex for the novice to figure out true cost for a specific job like exterior finish options.
This is a good book for residential construction costing but it's not complete, and it's not for beginners.
